It was really cold at Christmas 2000. It was the first real snow we had in Maidenhead.
Driving to work was pretty tricky as there was black ice everywhere and brakes just do not work!
The back car park at work was about 4 inches (20 cm) deep in snow and this was a great place to
practice braking in the ice/snow (well that's my excuse anyway!) You couldn't get any faster
than 10mph (17kph) and there was nothing to hit and besides going sideways was lots of fun!
It was a very cold day down near the river at Boulter's lock.
The carpark from our window. Look at the difference between this shot and the "summer"
one. You try scraping your car out of that to go to work!
The street outside our flat, quite interesting to drive on!
