Julie and I managed to be awarded a great trip away in March this year by my company and we spent 5 nights in Scottsdale, Arizona.  We stayed at the Hyatt Regency - Gainey Ranch.

View from the Room - 270K
Not a bad view from a "free" room!
Resort Pool - 170K
This is the pool - Julie and friends spent a lot of time just lazing around in the warm sunshine racking up huge bar bills with cocktails!
Resort Golf Course - 122K
Behind the pool, across the lake was the golf course.  If you like golf - What a place to stay?!
Indian Sculpture - 182K
The hotel was filled with Indian Sculptures.  This one is my favourite.
Take Off - 65K Landing - 112K
A successful take-off and landing for a brilliant flight over the Grand Canyon.  The trip took 1½ hours and it is too bad the sun was in the wrong place and there was some haze in the air as the photos do not do the Canyon justice.
It is a bloody big hole in the ground!!!
Grand Canyon - 154K Grand Canyon - 197K
Grand Canyon - 121K Grand Canyon - 108K
Montezuma's Castle - 210K Montezuma's Castle - 134K
Montezuma's Castle is located on the bank of Oak Creek near Camp Verde, which is southeast of Sedona.  It has absolutely nothing to do with Montezuma as it was built by the Sinagua people over 600 years ago.
The official website is here.
Montezuma's Castle area - 167K Tarantula - 69K
A lovely area to walk and one of the local inhabitants you may find whilst walking!!  If you read the description, they are more scared of you than vice versa!
Sedona - 143K Red Rock Country - 123K
Red Rock Country - 221K Red Rock Country - 149K
Red Rock Country - 180K Red Rock Country - 134K
The Sedona area is known as "Red Rock Country - Quite apt when you look at these photos.  It is the only place in the world where McDonalds do not have "Golden" arches, but "Teal" because the council has said all the new buildings must complement the local area in colour and style.  I bought a Dirt Shirt that is dyed with the red dirt of Sedona.  You can buy them from here.
Aeroplane - 41K
I couldn't help taking a shot of a low flying jet, but the main reason was the sky colour!  There were very few cloudy days.  Simply stunning...
